I'm Saskia. For 20 years I've worked alongside committees, councils, event crews and tourism businesses across North East Victoria and the High Country. Together we create community projects locals are proud of, and events and experiences visitors travel for.

Grant funding, multiple income streams and a hybrid committee that protects volunteers from burnout. Fresh every year, with attention to every sense and small, steady steps towards sustainability.​

Hi, I'm Saskia

I'm the one in the middle, a mum of two, a Women in North East Network volunteer and a small business owner here in regional Victoria, so I get the juggle. I love a good process, but what I love more is watching a town pull together around an idea.

I listen first, ask lots and lots of questions, and work alongside you, not over you. Over 20 years in business, government and community, including work with Telstra, local government, the Commonwealth Games and CFA, I've learned that the best projects belong to the people who live with them.

It's not about me. It's about who we bring together.

After 20 years, I know who to call: the grant body, the council officer, the stage crew, the volunteer group that's been doing it for decades. My job is to connect the right people around your idea, so it has the support it needs to grow.

The Jamieson Autumn Festival for 2025 was a huge success, and that is in no small part thanks to Saskia of Activate Community Consulting. Saskia received much needed funding for this event through successful grant applications. Her big picture ideas were brought to fruition with her expertise and experience in running events such as this. She is an ideas lady, with a practical approach and empathy to local sensitivities.
